Art Scene China was established in 1997, one of the earliest art galleries to focus exclusively on contemporary Chinese art.. We decided to create Art Scene Classic in early 2008 as a separate part of the gallery because many visitors to our galleries had told us that too much contemporary Chinese art is "large size" that "it would be impossible to hang in our home". The artworks at Art Scene Classic fill that void (literally). We have especially selected high quality, talented contemporary Chinese artists with smaller, more managable artworks that are not "too big" or "wild" and can be displayed at one's home.
